Stop #6 - Canal Creek (Old Telegraph Track)

This is the part of the trip where all the fun begins, lots of four wheel driving and a load of water crossings. The Old Telegraph Track is now well travelled every year during the dry season, so needless to say there is plenty of traffic, but it is all part of the fun seeing people work their way through some knarly inclines and descents going into and out of creek beds and not to mention taking part in the below footage...

After that excitement we made it to the famous Gunshot which i showed a picture of in a previous blog. We had heard by many different people on the way up that it was not passable and that a lot of people were getting stuck....or worse, but we had to check it out and this is what we were up against....to do or not to do.....lets DO!!!!

And this is the result.....

Ok so glad that is out of the system, now it is on to Canal Creek, which you will just have to take my word for it ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. (I forgot to take a picture) The water was as clear as glass, and had a stunning clear greenish blue look to it with awesome white sand. Such a great spot...oops on the pictures though, you would think that with three nights here surely I would have remembered at least once!
